Is it late summer and you can’t quite eat all those perfect farmers market peaches you bought? Well, yuppie scum, I made up this recipe for you. Recommended with pork and chicken.

  • 3 oz bacon
  • 1 c onion, chopped
  • 1 serrano, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, mined
  • 1 Tbs worc
  • 12 oz peaches, diced
  • 1/2 c peach nectar
  • 1/2 c ketchup
  • 2 Tbs dijon mustard
  • 1/4 c bourbon
  • 2 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbs lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 Tbs rosemary minced

Cook bacon until crispy, set aside. Pour out all bacon grease but 1-2 Tbs and saute onions and serrano until onion is soft. Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Add Worcestershire and cook another minute. Add peaches and cook 5 minutes. In a food processor, blend onion and peach mixture, cooked bacon and rosemary. Return to stove and add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer or 30 minutes, season with salt and pepper at the finish.
