North Carolina Barbecue Sauce

Makes just over 4 cups
This is the recipe used at years of company pig pickins at College Park RVs. Everybody has their own take on what goes in Eastern NC barbecue sauce, but for me this is it.
Ingredients
- 1 Qt gallon cider vinegar
- 2 Tbs Texas Pete
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 Tbs crushed red pepper
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 3-4 oz ketchup
Mix all ingredients together.
